The ISIS Molecular Spectroscopy User Group Meeting for 2008 will be held at The Cosener's House, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK over 4th and 5th November.
The new 2-day format of the meeting, which included an overnight stay, provided more time for active discussion of relevant issues and allows us to enhance the science content of the programme.
The programme for the meeting was divided into five focused scientific sessions on topics relevant to the science performed on the Molecular Spectroscopy group instrument suite. There were invited talks by Mark Johnson (ILL), Gregory Chass (Bangor University), George Reiter (University of Houston), Neal Skipper (UCL) and Martin Owen Jones (University of Oxford). Students and post-docs were encouraged to give 20 minute oral contributions to present their results in this informal setting. The meeting also provided brief reports on our instrumentation suite, as well as on the status of the facilities and the facilities development programmes.
