MAPS is able to accommodate most of the standard ambient pressure/field sample environment equipment (CCR, cryostat, furnace, etc).
The standard experimental setup on MAPS uses to the top-loading CCR. In special cases the bottom-loading CCR is used, however the ancillary equipment used with this setup is technically obsolete and its use is not encouraged.
If you require special sample environment equipment for catalysis or molecular spectroscopy experiments, please contact Stewart Parker to discuss your needs.
Following recent in-situ strain measurements with the cryomagnet on the beamline, we are only able to offer a maximum magnetic field of 3T. If you wish to conduct a MAPS experiment with a magnetic field, please contact the instrument scientists in order to discuss your requirements
