An Introduction to Neutron Techniques in Catalysis

Monday 03 November 2014, 12:00

The UK Catalysis Hub in association with the ISIS Neutron and Muon Facility are pleased to announce a two day meeting on neutron scattering with an emphasis on catalytically relevant techniques. This will take place at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) in Oxfordshire.

The meeting aims to encourage use of the neutron facilities available both at ISIS and beyond by providing an introduction to the techniques that can be used to investigate catalytic materials. In addition to talks describing the multiple diffraction, spectroscopic and reflection techniques and what can be learned from them that is relevant to catalysis, speakers will also share case studies where neutrons have benefited catalysis research. Prior knowledge of neutron techniques is not needed, and current users are also encouraged to come and broaden their knowledge of associated techniques. Registrations are welcomed from both academic and industrial institutions.

The meeting will run from lunchtime on Monday 3rd November to lunchtime on the 4th, with accommodation and meals provided. The support of the ISIS Facility, Research Complex at Harwell, Catalysis Hub and Johnson Matthey is gratefully acknowledged. Please register at:
