Muons are making the spotlight this month with a new publication marking 25 years of muon science and first light on the HiFI laser!
This week the new laser system has been installed on the HiFI Spectrometer, expanding the scope of science possible at the ISIS Muon facility. The upgrade is part of a project supported by the European Research Council and led by Alan Drew, Queen Mary University. Find out more about the new laser system and its potential here.
Here at ISIS we have been making Muons for a quarter of a century; to mark the publication of a special edition of Physica Scripta, ISIS muons for materials and molecular sciences, ISIS looks back on the last 25 years of muons and their achievements. Read it here.
