Ferroelectric Test Rig

The ferroelectric rig setup in the materials characterisation laboratory is a desktop system for probing ferroelectric properties of materials. It consists of the Precision Premier II ferroelectric tester unit and a J micro Technology Microwave Laboratory Microprobing Station.

Specifications:

  • ±10V, 30V, 100V, 200V & 500V built-in output
  • 16-bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator output
  • Pulse widths down to 0.05 µs, and up to 1 second
  • 100 points in 100 µs with direct capture, 100 points in 10 µs with interlace feature and 1000 data points in 30 seconds
  • 2 COMM channels for controlling high voltage amplifiers and 2 external 18-bit ±10V SENSOR voltage inputs

Features of the microprobing station include:

  • 7 - 30x magnification stereo zoom microscope
  • Precision ball bearing XYZ positioners with RF probe mount
  • XY stage with Z-lift chuck
  • Isolated shielded vacuum chuck
