Come along to a FREE Public Engagement Symposium hosted in Diamond House at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory

This is a great opportunity for light source, neutron and muon users to highlight your research to the wider public and gain valuable communication skills. The event includes interactive workshops, opportunities for networking  and more.  The day offers all attendees a fantastic chance for both networking opportunities and professional development sessions.  The day’s programme includes a series of short, interactive workshops such as:

  • Writing science for a public audience - what works and who to  work with
  • Public speaking: How to speak with confidence and impact
  • Top tips and practical ways to use new and social media
  • Talking to a public adult audience

  • PDRA's and Fellows
  • HPC users

STFC will also be offering bursaries of up to £100 for early career researchers​.
