ISIS Muon Training Course - February 2005

No

A 5-day training course in pulsed muon techniques was held at ISIS in February 2005.  It was attended by 17 researchers from the UK, Europe and South Africa who were new to the muon technique.  The course included a variety of lectures on the basics and applications of the muon technique, together with two days of experiment time on the ISIS muon instruments.

The course was funded by ISIS and by the EC through the FP6 ISIS Muon Facility Access contract.

Copies of lectures given at the course can be found below in .pdf format (please be aware that some of these are several Mb in size):

Introduction to RAL and to ISIS (Philip King)

Introduction to µSR (Steve Cox)

Introduction to µSR - background paper (Steve Cox)

Introduction to muon relaxation functions (Bob Cywinski)

The ISIS muon beamlines (James Lord)
