The ISIS second target station project ran from 2003 to 2009. It was completed on time and to budget. First neutrons were created in 2008 and all seven Phase One instruments are operational. Scientific commissioning of the instruments is largely complete and experiments from t​he ISIS user programme are underway.​​​
