Bio
David is the Excitations group leader, responsible for the ALF, LET, MAPS, MARI and MERLIN instruments. He joined ISIS in 2015 as LET instrument Scientist and moved to MERLIN in 2020 before taking over as group leader in 2023. His research interests are focussed on lattice dynamics and diffusion in functional materials, particularly thermoelectrics which can be used to turn waste heat back into useful power.
