The Governor toured the facility with senior ISIS and STFC staff and met scientist Shu Yan Zhang. She showed him the Engin-X instrument and explained some of the collaborations she has been involved in. She said, “Governor Zhu was impressed by the science that we deliver and our projects helping industry. He mentioned that we should enhance our collaborations in the future.”
UK collaboration with organisations in the Guangdong province will for the focus of a reciprocal visit when UK science minister David Willetts visits the region later this month.
The Governor was accompanied by journalists from the province and the visit was reported on Guangdong TV.
