These are Oxford Instruments single shot 3He refrigerators and can have hold times of over 48 hours or 8 hours with 50mW of applied heat load.
They can be used instead of the normal centre stick in either the Variox cryostat or the cryomagnets. Two inserts are available one of which is fitted with capillaries for condensed liquid helium experiments.
