These new partnerships will provide Indian researchers with access to the ISIS Neutron and Muon facility and will open up avenues for deeper scientific collaboration in addressing global challenges in areas such as food science, energy and water security. Researcher training will also form an important component of the collaboration.
Following a tour of the facility, the Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan, signed the ISIS visitor book and expressed his thoughts on the facility and collaboration:
“The UK government and the scientists associated with the project deserve the highest applaud. It is further heartening to learn that India and her scientists shall also be participating in this great science lab to further enhance their research activities in nanomission and advanced materials with the help of the neutron beam.”
