The Soft matter module of the ISIS neutron training course is intended for researchers in the broad fields of soft matter physics, chemistry and biology. The module covers neutron diffraction from large scale structures (small-angle neutron scattering - SANS), and reflectometry from surfaces. Polarized neutron reflectometry and spin-echo (SESANS) techniques are also covered in this course.
Choose this module if:
- You are interested SANS
- You are interested in neutron reflectometry techniques from solid/liquid interfaces and surfaces
If you are a chemistry student interested in neutron reflectometry or SANS then please apply for this module. If you are interested in reflectometry from magnetic thin films, then the Physics module is best suited.
