The UK neutron and muon science and user meeting is an opportunity to hear about the latest science from ISIS and ILL, plus updates from facilities and other matters of interest to facility users.

This year's meeting will be similar in format to that held last year. It will include a student day, a day dedicated to neutron and muon science in key areas and a user meeting including facility updates.​

Outline Programme:

Tuesday 26th JulyStudent day - a day organised for and by UK PhD students using neutrons or muons in their work. 

Wednesday 27th JulyScience day - plenary talks given by key speakers followed by science talks organised into five themed groups:

Functional materials
Magnetism and superconductivity
Biosciences and soft matter
Chemistry and catalysis
Engineering

The day will include the presentation of the Willis Prize for Neutron scattering, followed by a student poster session and conference dinner.

Thursday 28th July: User meeting - updates from ISIS, ILL, ESS and Diamond, reports from research councils and student poster prize talks.

A more detailed programme will be available shortly

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed for members of the UK academic community who are attending.  
There is no fee to attend the meeting - costs are met by STFC.
