Malvern Zetasizer Nano S
Located in the TS2 (R80) biolab is our research-grade dynamic light scattering system for particle size analysis on the sub-micron scale. Capable of detecting aggregates, it can also measure small or dilute samples and samples of high concentration, and also incorporates a molecular weight analyser for size and weight measurements. We have various cuvettes sizes available (12 µl and higher), but please discuss this with the biolab team when you organize your visit. Instrument features include:
- Size measurement from 0.3 nm – 10 µm (diameter)
- Molecular weight measurement range of 980 Da – 20 MDa
- Max. operating temperature of 90 ˚C
- Min. sample volume of 12 µl for particle and molecular size
- Min. sample volume of 12 µl for molecular weight measurement
- Protein size measurement as dilute as 0.1 mg/ml (lysozyme)
- Sample concentrations from 0.1 ppm to 40 %w/v
