The cabinet provides a clean environment for preparing cell growth media and plates, and working with cell cultures, cell lines, and bio-hazardous agents. It offers a degree of protection for the operator and reduces the risk of contamination of samples or release of material into the local environment.
It gives us the capability to work with Hazard Level 2 agents (if Level 2 work is approved).
