The LK HC90 Coordinate Measurement
Machine (CMM) is used with a Metris LC15 laser scanner to probe the
location of many points on the surfaces of components. The resulting
point clouds are converted to a surface "mesh" and imported into the
SScanSS virtual laboratory software for experiment planning and
automated execution of strain scanning measurements.
