For gas-phase experiments we have a number of cells available depending upon the pressure range required.

Long-bodied PEEK cell

Non-metallic cells

Up to 8 bar

Long-bodied PEEK cell

Long-bodied PEEK cell

This long-bodied PEEK cell ensures there is enough gas available to stop muons even at low pressure.  The RF cavity slides over the body of the cell to allow for optimum tuning of the resonance signal over the full range of working pressures.

Up to 14 bar

Short-bodied PEEK cell

Short-bodied PEEK cell

The operating range of this short-bodied PEEK cell has a higher starting pressure then its longer sibling.  Again, the RF cavity slides over the body of the cell to allow for optimum tuning of the resonance signal over the full range of working pressures.

Up to 50 bar

Wide-bodied PEEK cell

Wide-bodied PEEK cell

The wide-bodied PEEK cell is built to take the pressure.  The RF cavity slides over the body of the cell to allow for optimum tuning of the resonance signal over the full range of working pressures.  A cold-finger is available to allow variable temperature experiments to be carried out in the 20°C to -30°C range.

Metallic cells

Up to 50 bar

Austenitic stainless steel cell

Austenitic stainless steel cell

The austenitic stainless steel cell has an internal RF cavity and titanium foil windows
