The 2012 UK Neutron and Muon Users Meeting (NMUM) will take place on 17 April 2012 at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

NMUM is an opportunity for UK neutron and muon users to meet together to hear about latest developments and future directions at ISIS and the ILL, and to discuss matters of common concern to the community.  Further details of the programme for the meeting will be available shortly.  The meeting will last from 11-00 am to around 3-45pm. The agenda for the meeting is available here.

Accommodation and travel costs for the meeting will be reimbursed to UK academic researchers and PhD students.

Nominations for the BTM Willis Prize in Neutron Scattering Science

Nominations are now sought for the BTM Willis prize in neutron science, with a nomination deadline of 23 March 2012. 

Further details of the prize and how to nominate for it are given in the attached file. 

The winner of the Willis Prize will be announced at NMUM 2012, and the winner will be invited to give a short lecture on their work.

The NMUM meeting is jointly organised by the ISIS Pulsed Neutron and Muon Source, Institut Laue-Langevin, and the Neutron Scattering Group of the Institute of Physics and The Royal Society of Chemistry.
