ISIS and Rome Tor Vergata sign new agreement

ISIS and the University of Rome Tor Vergata have signed a new agreement to continue their partnership in neutron and muon science. The University of Rome Tor Vergata was one of ISIS’s earliest collaborators, with the first partnership agreement being signed in 1984 – almost 40 years ago.

Since then, ISIS and Italy have had a continuous set of agreements which have seen collaboration on instrument construction, neutron and muon technology development, and science across a wide range of areas including cultural heritage. The new agreement, for a further 5 years, will continue this long-standing relationship.

The partnership between ISIS and Rome Tor Vergata has been enduring and productive.

Carla Andreani, Professor of applied physics at Rome Tor Vergata, commented, “We are very proud of our relationship with the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. Not only does it enable science and technology developments, but also the training of the next generation of scientists and technicians through their time at the facility.”
