There are two meetings organised by ISIS each year just for students, providing opportunities for students to present their work to their peers, ask questions of each other and chair sessions. These offer the chance to discover more about the broad range of research taking place at neutron and muon facilities and network with fellow students who also carry out experiments at large scale facilities.
- ISIS Student Meeting (ISM) runs annually as a 2-day meeting showcasing student research
- UK Neutron & Muon Science and User Meeting (NMSUM) Student day runs annually as a 1-day meeting before the main User meeting to learn more about neutron & muon techniques, as well as the research of fellow students
Registration to both meetings are open to PhD and Masters students and are free to researchers at UK universities and ILL. Reasonable travel expenses for these students will also be covered.
UK Neutron & Muon Science and User Meeting (NMSUM) Student day on 8 June 2020, before the main User meeting on the 9 and 10 June. All at the University of Warwick.
The 2020 ISIS Student Meeting will be held on 26 and 27 October at The Cosener's House, Abingdon.
