It is our pleasure to invite you for this First Neutron User Meeting to be held at IPEN in Sao Paulo!

This is a collaboration between ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (United Kingdom) and Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor (RMB), which started as a project granted by the UK International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF), from 2023 to 2027. During this time, we had many activities, such as neutron training course, webinars and, most importantly, the Brazilian Access to the installations of ISIS Neutron and Muon Source for beamtime entirely granted by the ISPF. Up to the beginning of 2026, ISPF will have granted around 40 beamtimes for Brazilian Access, covering the costs of around 80 Brazilian research scientists coming to ISIS.

The ISIS Neutron and Muon Source provides 35 instruments for neutron and muon techniques and each year has around 3500 user visits, 1000 experiments producing 600 publications. In vue of the upcoming opportunities offered by the launch of the Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor (RMB) project, we propose to have this first neutron user meeting at IPEN, where the Brazilians, who had neutron beamtime at ISIS, or anywhere else, could present their projects and meet other Brazilian researchers working in areas where neutrons could be applied in the future.

There is no registration fee and we are still looking for resources to be able to invite few participants not coming from Sao Paulo state. We strongly encourage you all to request funds from your own end to cover for transport and accommodation.
