What are we doing at ISIS in life sciences and healthcare research?

Since the opening of ISIS’ target station 2, there has been an increasing number of experiments being carried out in the life sciences. This ranges from research into vaccine development and antibiotics, to the study of atmospheric pollutants and their interaction with the lungs and eyes.

There has been a growing user base of life science researchers over recent years, and increasing and impactful delivery from this area using the unique capabilities of neutron scattering techniques. The muon beamlines are also beginning to be used for life sciences research.
