Initially joining as an instrument scientist, she became the SANS Team Leader within the Large Scale Structures Group in 2016. In 2019, Sarah was promoted to Group Leader of the newly formed SANS Group before joining the ISIS Leadership Team as a Science Division Head in 2023. Sarah was appointed as ISIS Director in 2025.
