Training in neutron and muon techniques
ISIS offers a range of training opportunities, both in-person and online, in addition to the on-the-job training users receive when they visit for beamtime.
There is also a European e-Learning platform, which hosts free education and training for scientists and students that includes courses on using photons, neutrons and muons. It includes topics from the theory underlying the experiments to how to use python code or software for data reduction and modelling.
In 2022, the reflectometry group at ISIS ran a fully virtual reflectometry training course. All course materials are freely available on the course website.
