New Deuteration Laboratory now open!
The Deuteration Facility officially opened its doors to the newly refurbished synthesis laboratory on the 14th February.

Supporting the ESS laboratories through collaboration
The ISIS Support labs have an excellent reputation across the international neutron scattering community, so the European Spallation Source (ESS) were keen to learn from their experiences in supporting users with the best possible lab infrastructure.
A summer in the lab, from home
Despite COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, ISIS still took on summer placement students in 2020. This included Ellie Dempsey, who spent 12 weeks working in the Materials Characterisation Laboratory.

This week, the ISIS deuteration facility celebrated the measurement on WISH of a sample made using the 500th compound synthesised in the lab.

Ten years after its development, the Experimental Risk Assessment (ERA) process at ISIS has reached the milestone of giving out the 10,000th ERA.
